This patient had a wide, nearly square-shaped face. Despite having previous cheekbone surgery, the patient's large head size limited the improvement in facial width. The patient desired a face that was as small, round, and three-dimensional as possible within a safe range.
Pre-operative CT analysis revealed previously inserted fixation pins, and it was determined that the elongated and flattened mid-face contributed to the face appearing even wider.
