Thermage and Ulthera are the two titans of facial tightening procedures. Thermage tightens the skin surface by applying thermal stimulation, much like ironing, while Ulthera targets and contracts the deep SMAS layer of the skin using focused ultrasound, similar to a magnifying glass. Copying the technology of these two renowned devices, machines like Oligio (similar to Thermage), Shurinkra, Doublo, and Tightan (similar to Ulthera) have been developed.
An interesting development is the Olizio Kiss device, which integrates the principles of Oligio and Tightan—essentially Thermage and Ulthera—into a single machine. This offers a significant advantage in terms of space efficiency, as it eliminates the need for two separate devices. However, a drawback is that if the single integrated machine malfunctions, both types of procedures become unavailable.
